RENAISSANCE (High): The Last Supper by Leonardo

One of Leonardo da Vinci's most famous paintings.  Probably second only to the Mona Lisa.

  1. That was soooo interesting! I never knew there was that much symbolism the the last supper. It was cool to hear how Leonardo placed the disciple's characters into the painting, with Peter clutching the knife and Judas grabbing the bag of coins.I think if I were present at the last supper i think my reaction would be most like the man on the far left.I'd probably freeze for a minute and then jump up. Although,I might be more afraid than angry.
I thought it was great that, whether or not they were Christians, the narrators at least respected the Christian faith by mentioning communion and the bible without putting it down.
Also, the theory that Leonardo purposefully messed up his invention because he despised war,was very thought-provoking.
