Living Statues

Another artist who works as a living statue.  Warning: some scary costumes.  Also, the artist makes a comment in which he claims he can see behind him.  Bologna!  I don't believe that for a moment.

Elements of Art: 1st Video

Elephant Painting

Here's a video of a trained elephant painting.  In some cases, the elephant is trained to do certain strokes, but in others there is a human who stands next to the elephant and gives it guidance.  They do quite a business!  People are impressed that the art is something recognizable.  I wouldn't mind having a piece myself as a novelty.

Still asking: What is art?

There is female chest nudity (statue) at 1:29-1:33.  This guy has some interesting thoughts on defining art.  Obviously, we wouldn't agree that love is something we imagine in order to escape our mortality.  No, love is very real.

What is Art?

This video discusses the meaning of art.  The author takes the view that we cannot define art.  I would disagree, but he does ask some interesting questions.  It says at the beginning that students helped create the video.  Neat!  I wonder if they did some of the drawings for it?  :)
